The old speech:

My Dad, Shopping center and Piano

What’s up guys. It’s Gabriel and I’m back with another audio. Do you want to hear a story about: My dad, A shopping centre and a Piano? Ok, here we go.

Once, I went into a shopping centre with my mum and dad. My mum and I went into a shop and buyed some stuff. And dad was shopping in another shop. Then when me and my mum walked out of the shop, I saw one of my worst nightmares. A public piano and a kid was playing random notes on it. I knew what my mum would say. Unfortunately, she said the words. “How about you have a go?” said my mum trying to encourage me. Now, I like the fame and the feeling of accomplishing something, but I always have a feeling that I would get it wrong and embarass myself. It would be really awkward. I mean, think of it, you getting something wrong in front of people you don’t know, and the audience is staring at you and your plams are starting to sweat and your mind goes blank and then the cycle starts over and over again. Anyways, I found myself in an argument. My mum gave a lot of benefits if I play the piano. Like: You can go back to China. But still, I wasn’t willing. So we got into a fight about it. Then my dad came along and went on the piano seat and played a really easy song with only one finger.

 I saw an old lady leaving, probably not wanting to listen to my dad. But if my dad wasn’t afraid even if a person left to not see his performence why should I? So I played a song with my dad. I saw the old lady look back. When me and my dad had finished, Everyone clapped. It was really nice, having the feeling of acing a performence in front of audience that you don’t know. But sadly I didn’t take on the offer on going back to China. But I still went back that year.

How I faced my fears

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Now, please raise your hand if anyone here knows what the word courage means? I believe most of you are familiar about that word. I’ll tell you a story on courage about myself.

Once, I went into a shopping centre with my mum and dad. My mum and I went into a shop and buyed some stuff. And dad was in another shop. Then when me and my mum walked out of the shop, I saw one of my worst nightmares. A pubic piano with a little kid playing notes on it. I knew my mum would say: “How about you have a go?” and she did. Now, don’t get me wrong, because I love the fame of completing a performence in front of someone, I mean, who doesn’t? But if you get it wrong, It would be really awkward. I mean, think of it, you getting something wrong in front of people you don’t know, and the audience is staring at you and your plams are starting to sweat and your mind goes blank and you feel like you want to be in a island in the middle of nowhere. Also, I didn’t have the courage to do it. Anyways, I found myself in an argument. My mum gave a lot of benefits if I play the piano. Like: You can go back to China, or you can download a videogame. But still, I wasn’t willing. My dad then appeared and went on the piano seat and played a really easy song with only one finger. I saw an old lady leaving, probably not wanting to listen to my dad. But if my dad wasn’t afraid even if a person left to not see his performence why should I? So I walked up to the piano. Took a deep breath and played a song with my dad. I saw the old lady look back. When me and my dad had finished, Everyone clapped. I felt proud and happy!

I really didn’t want to do it at the start, and was realy freaked out, but then I played a song with my dad, everbody clapped and I was very happy that I took the chance to play a piece. This tells us that, try to do it, even if you don’t think you have he courage to do it.

So don’t be shy! Take on the chance to perform, wherever you are. There’s nothing to fear and you’ll be just fine. I hope you have all learnt that, if there’s a chance, go take it.  Thank you for listening

I wanted to make some changes because I could fix some bits like adding an explanation. Also, since I only got a 4.2 stars on the original piece, I wanted to push myself to make this the best speech I could and mabye get a higher star rating.
