Text: It’s pick up time at school and Sam sees Josh’s Grandpa still hasn’t come and pick him up yet
Sam: “Your grandpa is so slow.”
Josh: “No he’s not.”
Sam: “Then are you saying your grandpa is quick?”
Now, In Sam’s last comment, he says: “Then are you saying your grandpa is quick?” That is “black or white fallacy.” He is saying, if Josh’s Grandpa is not slow he is quick. He isn’t thinking of other possibilities. Only, his grandpa is slow or his grandpa is quick. I would say if I was Josh,
“No, he isn’t quick. But I’m not saying he’s too slow either. But what do you expect from a old person? He is at his own pace.”

On the second text, it says this:
Jack is playing video games before the test so,
Mum: before the test, don’t play video games. Study.
Jack: No! Playing video games helps to refresh your brain so it helps you in the test. Last time Felix did that and he got first place!
Jack is wrong because he has casual fallacy. It only happened once and you don’t know if Felix studied before the test. So it doesn’t mean everytime it’ll work. Also, If I was mum, I’d reply:
“he only did it for once. It doesn’t mean that it’ll happen again. Also, he might’ve studied very hard before the test but we don’t know. It could even have been luck. But it’s a very small chance It’ll happen again. Also, if you play video games before a test, on the test, you might get distracted from your test on thinking what happend in the game.”

One of things in my life that I had fallacy was this:
Me: Me and my three friends all don’t like Donald Trump. So nobody likes Donald Trump.
Dad: Have you guys seen his twitter account?
Me: no.
Dad: He has a lot of followers and if he didn’t have people who like him, then why would he be the president of the United States of America?
I made the mistake of hasty generalization because I only asked three people and my dad replied me which got me on the lower hand and him on the upper hand.
