The story of a book By Annabeth

Hello, everyone. You may wonder who I am. Actually, you should wonder WHAT I am. I'm a book. A very old one, in fact. I'm exactlly nine years old today, starting from the day I was bought.

I never really knew what I'm about, seeing that I can't read myself. My owner calls me the keeper of her dreams. I really don't know why, but I can tell she loves me very much. It's very easy to tell if you're loved, especially if you're a book. I, for one, is kept on a middle shelf, level with my owner's eyes. I'm dusted off each week. See, it is very, very easy to tell who's the favorite.

My owner often reads me, even though she seems to remember every word I consist of. She'd often tell me about her life, and here's what she told me last week:

Hello, keeper. I wonder if you can hear me. I just read the part about Artemis over again. I think she's my favorite Goddess, after Athena. After all, they are both clever and graceful, and not interested in looks like the very concited Aphrodite. I want to be like Athena or Artemis, even though I do want to get married some day. Anyway, Leo actually has the nerve to FLIRT with Thalia. Seriously? Valdez?? Do you want to die??? I'm pretty sure he's still the sidekick who makes tacos.(what's wrong with making tacos?)
I made my very own fanfiction of Percy Jackson last week, as a homework to YMBA. It's not very original, because it's based on the Jasper couple. I wonder if I told you aout couples before. Just combine their names. Personally, I think Jasper and Solangelo are the best names. They're pretty romantic.
I watched Phantom of the Opera last week in music class. It's a pretty weird story. But the music is simply WONDERFUL(she really nearly yelled this part out)!!! My favorites are the main song and Masquerade. The words are very free, but they flow in a way that takes my heart out! Oh Keeper, imagine the most wonderful music in the world, that's joyful and flowing. Then you'd know what the music is like in Phantom. Most of the kids just focoused on the plot, which is an insultation to the opera, if you ask me. Like, seriously. There are wonderful songs in the opera, and you just focous on the plot? A waste of time!
Back to you, Keeper. You're my pride and joy, actually(she beamed). You've been with me for NINE FREAKING YEARS and I'm still not sick of you!(thanks very much) You're still very interesting and touching, and you mean a lot(she smiled wistfully) You actually remind me of my younger days, when I would secretly bring you out under the desk when I'm doing homework(owner, that's NOT a good memory) I wish you could come with me whereever I go!(that would be great) Well, I gotta do homework, so bye!

See? She really loves me. But if you're a child, don't read you favorite book when you're doing homework.

I don't remember much about how we met, but I think I was a Christmas present from a friend of hers. To be honest, who gives a four-year-old a huge book with nothing but words? But she loved me. She read me every single day and laugh and laugh when she got to the funny parts and look at me with huge eyes. I suppose I must be very easy to understand.

Nowadays when she reads me, she wouldn't smile so much, and she once actually cried when she read me, though I don't know why. She often tells me that she gets a new feeling every time she reads me.

Maybe, that's why we books are there. Every book has a soul, you know, so treat them well. You might not belive your book has a soul, but I certainly do, so please understand and care.

Yours, Keeper of Dreams.
