Beginning: August is a kid who gets homeschooled by his mother, and he gets ignored or teased because of the look he has. He has one small surgeries one month and a big on per year. 

Fuse: One day he heard her mother and father talking about sending his to a middle school. He’s scared and frustrated, also miserable. He didn’t want to go to school, but his mother still wants him to go and meet the principle. Mr. Tushman is the principle on the middle school that August is going to, he acutely laughed when Mr.Tushman told him his name. But he didn’t know there are three kids that is waiting for him and to take him around the school. August was not really happy when he heard the news.

Influence

1. He was really shy when the three kids, Julian, Jack and Charlotte toke him around the school. But Julian asked a question that really hearted his feelings. “Were you in a fire or something?” Jack and Charlotte was really angry about it but Julian didn’t even care.

2. Jack was August’s first friend ever. 

3. On halloween, August heard his best friend Jack said if he look like hime he’ll kill himself. August was really angry and sad. Then he heard Jack said it was Mr.Tushman who wanted hime to be hiss friend. he went home after that.

4. Summer sat with August, and asked if she could be his friend. August didn’t believe her that Mr.Tushman didn’t tell her to be his friend, but when Summer said “Between being the right or being kind, choose kind.” August finally believe her, and summer became his best friend.

5. Jack finally understand why August stopped playing with him, said sorry and became friends with August again.

6. Julian made Jack angry because he teased August and Jack punched Julian in the face.

7. The whole grade went to the Natural Trip and August and a bunch of kids in his school got into a fight and they became friends. 

Result: August became the famous kid in the school and got the award of the year. All of his friends cheered for him and he felt how it is to be the happiest person in the “world”. Also he didn’t think school was that bad after all.

My Toughts: August is a risk-taker, he is open-minded and never give up. He felt really sad sometimes, but he kept going and finally success.
